ANI New Delhi

Retired Wing Commander Praful Bakshi today claimed that Pakistan is indulging in proxy war with India because it benefits from it.

Bakshi said, "What Prime Minister says is quite clear, our stand on Siachen is clear, Siachen belongs to India."

He said, "Pakistan is indulging in proxy war with India because Pakistan benefits from proxy war. In conventional war India will put pressure on Pakistan. The question is how we handle this proxy war. It's a matter of political will".

According to Bakshi, Pakistan government doesn't have control over its army and Pakistan army doesn't want friendly ties with India.

He also said, "Couple of days back Nawaz Sharif spoke of friendship and peace, but soon afterwards Pakistan army violated cease fire.

"Government must give clear instructions to the army. If Kashmir is ours, we must take it and if Siachen is ours we must keep it," he added.
