Penny Johnson won't return for 'Castle' season 8

American actress Penny Johnson will now not be seen in ABC's series 'Castle's upcoming season, it has been revealed.

The '24' star recently tweeted that even she was shocked and saddened when she got to know that she won't be continuing in the famous crime fiction's season 8, Deadline.com has reported.

Johnson joined the series as Captain Victoria Gates in 2011.
