Phil Hughes reportedly believes that with explosive left-hander David Warner and Mitchell Johnson entering boom years, the Aussies may soon enjoy the No.1 world ranking again.
Hughes said that to do what Dave has done against England and then South Africa taking on the best attack in the world has been unbelievable to be honest.
Warner pounded 543 runs at an average of 90 and an astounding strike rate of 87 against South Africa, while Mitchell Johnson took 22 wickets at 17, News.com.au reported.
Hughes said that what Warner could do was change a game in a session, adding that it would be interesting to see what he will be like in two or three years.
While Australia lags behind South Africa by 12 ranking points in Test rankings, Hughes said that it would take "all guys stepping up to the plate" to reclaim the champion tag.
