Highlighting the achievements of his government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the world's perception about India has changed ever since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took charge at the Centre and added that he would fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people.
Addressing a rally in Bengaluru where BJP's national executive meeting is on, Prime Minister Modi said that there was an atmosphere of disappointment for years.
"Open the papers, see the TV and you will see the news of some scam or the other. The world had changed the way they saw India. It was as if India has lost the ability to script a new future, India has lost its way," said Prime Minister Modi.
"For a decade, this perception existed in the minds of the people and across the world. In such circumstances, the people reposed their faith in the BJP. The hopes with which you gave our team the opportunity to serve you, we will fulfil your hopes and aspirations. I assure you," he added.
Expressing confidence of the achievements of his government in the last ten months, Prime Minister Modi said that there is no reason why India must stay behind.
