Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Jammu to attend the centenary celebrations of former Jammu and Kashmir finance minister Girdhari Lal Dogra.
At the time of the filing of this report, he was viewing an exhibition on Dogra in the company of Jammu and Kashmir Chief MInister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, besides state governor N.N.Vohra and other dignitaries.
Security has been beefed up in and around Jammu ahead for Modi's day-long visit to the state.
According to sources, the Prime Minister is likely to announce a development package of around Rs. 70,000 crore for Jammu and Kashmir during his visit.
