PM Modi to Dutch counterpart: Your visit will lay foundation for stronger ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday welcomed his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte to India, and said his visit will lay the foundation for stronger bilateral ties between the two countries.

The Prime Minister took to twitter to share his thoughts.

"Welcome to India @Minpres! Your visit will lay the foundation for stronger ties between India & Netherlands. Looking forward to meeting you," he wrote.

Prime Minister Rutte and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are scheduled to hold delegation level talks later in the day, which will be followed by a round table of the Dutch and Indian delegations with

representatives of large companies from both the countries.

 

On the second day of his visit, Prime Minister Rutte will also lay wreath at Mumbai's Hotel Taj Mahal Palace in remembrance of the 26/11 attacks.

Prior to holding business meeting, the visiting Prime Minister will also visit Bombay House for a meeting with CEOs.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will call upon Prime Minister Mark Rutte, followed by signing of MoU's and a business interactive session.

The visiting dignitary departs on June 7.
