President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday extended his greetings and felicitations to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom on her 89th birthday.
The President conveyed his wishes via a series of tweets.
"Warm greetings and felicitations to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom on her birthday," President Mukherjee tweeted.
"'Enhanced partnership' between India and the United Kingdom has been deepened and strengthened in recent years," the President tweeted.
"Valuable contribution of Queen to building of trust and mutual understanding between India and UK is appreciated," he added.
Elizabeth II is the Queen of 16 of the 53 member states in the Commonwealth of Nations.
She is Head of the Commonwealth and Supreme Governor of the Church of England.
