President Mukherjee to leave for six-day visit to Jordan, Palestine, Israel

President Pranab Mukherjee will be leaving for a six-day visit to Jordan, Palestine and Israel today, becoming the first Head of Indian State to visit these two rival nations.

Union Minister Thaawar Chand Gehlot, six Members of Parliament and eminent academicians will accompany the President on the visit.

The President is expected to make an appeal for help in securing release of 39 Indians held by ISIS in Mosul town of Iraq.
