Punjab Home Minister injured, seven killed in blast at his political office

Punjab Home Minister Colonel (Retd.) Shuja Khanzada was injured and seven others were killed in a blast, which took place at his political office near Attock today.

Khanzada, who has been actively involved in major operations against terror outfits, was reportedly addressing a dispute between two parties at the time.

The impact of the blast caused a roof collapse of the building and shattered windows in nearby houses, the Dawn reports.

The rescue operations are currently underway.

The nature of the blast is not yet known.
