A Scorpio SUV with 10 people on board caught fire in Tamil Nadu's capital city Chennai on Friday afternoon. All the passengers were evacuated safely from the vehicle as the driver alerted them after noticing smoke emanating from the engine.
The incident occurred on Kathipara bridge in city's Guindy area.
Anand, one of the passengers of the car told ANI: "It was smoking initially and we were ten traveling in that car. All are safe. I think this happened because of heat waves coming out of the engine and it could not bear it".
