Sean Bean to play Inspector John Marlott in 'The Frankenstein Chronicles'

Sean Bean will star as Inspector John Marlott in the six-part period crime drama 'The Frankenstein Chronicles', it has been revealed.

Emmy-nominated director and writer Benjamin Ross asserted that the role of 'Game of Thrones' actor's takes him into the dark corners of Regency London, Deadline.com reported.

Ross continued that Marlott will discover an underworld of prostitution, drug smuggling, bodysnatching and murder for profit.

ITV's period- drama is set in 1827 London.
