'Slinger Malinga' set to return for Lanka against Kiwis

Sri Lanka frontline seamer Lasith Malinga is on course for a return to the national squad towards the end of the seven match series against New Zealand.

Malinga hasn't played since September after having a surgery to repair long-standing damage to his left ankle.

Coach Marvan Atapattu said that he was still recovering from surgery and everything was going well according to the plan, adding that he would return for the last two ODI games in New Zealand.

The seven match ODI series against New Zealand is scheduled to run from January 11-29.
