Tim Burton, Helena Bonham parting ways after dating for 13 years

Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter have announced their split after 13 years of dating each other.

Carter's representative told People Magazine that the couple separated cordially earlier this year and has continued to be friends and co-parent their children.

The couple first met when Burton directed the 48-year-old actress in 2001's 'Planet of the Apes'.

The couple has two children together, 11-year-old son Billy and daughter Nell, aged 7.
