In a tragic incident, a nursery girl student died after her head got stuck in the lift of a school building in Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.
The child, Syeda Zainab Fatima Jaffery, (three-and-a-half-years-old) came to the Star Kids Premium School in the morning.
Meanwhile, the case has been registered against the school management and they have been taken into the custody.
"As per a preliminary enquiry, at around 9 a.m., a teacher was accompanying a few students from the ground floor to the third floor. The girl was caught in the grills of the moving lift," DCP, East Zone, D Ravindra told reporters.
"We have taken the complaint and we have registered the case. We are also calling the District Educational Officer and we will also examine whether they have got permission or not. We will take stern action as per the law," he added.
Tension prevailed at the school after people and relatives of the girl gathered at the spot and demanded action against the school management.
