Director Dito Montiel's next 'The Clapper' may feature Tracy Morgan as he is currently in talks to star in it alongside Ed Helms and Amanda Seyfried.
According to Deadline, the project would reunite Morgan with filmmaker Montiel who cast him in 2011 cop drama 'The Son of No One.'
The movie, which is based on a book that Montiel himself wrote, is about a "professional clapper" for infomercials who becomes famous when a talk-show host puts him on the air. Unfortunately, that notoriety then ends up costing him personally.
The 47-year-old actor will play Helms' best friend Chris Plork, who is a loyal and devoted confidante and provides a good deal of the humor and charm of the script.
Morgan will be on his stand-up tour Picking Up the Pieces in June so the production is going to work around his schedule.
