'Transformers 4' makes 'biggest debut of all time' with $301.3m earnings

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Paramount's 3D tentpole has become the first film of 2014 to cross the 100 million dollars threshold in North America and has earned 90 million dollars in China to mark the top weekend opening of all time, grossing a total of 301.3 million dollars worldwide.
'22 Jump Street' came in second with 15.4 million dollars for a domestic total of 139.8 million dollars, in its third weekend.
Also, John Carney's 'Begin Again', starring Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Adam Levine and Hailee Steinfeld has opened at the specialty box office this weekend.
