Auto stocks fall
Auto stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Auto index decreasing 45.33 points or 0.25% at 18306.44 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Auto index, Bosch Ltd (down 2.14%), Cummins India Ltd (down 1.29%),Hero MotoCorp Ltd (down 1.11%),Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (down 0.71%),Ashok Leyland Ltd (down 0.55%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Apollo Tyres Ltd (down 0.52%), Bajaj Auto Ltd (down 0.43%), Tata Motors Ltd (down 0.21%), and Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (down 0.04%).
On the other hand, Balkrishna Industries Ltd (up 3.55%), TVS Motor Company Ltd (up 2.08%), and MRF Ltd (up 1.28%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 29.69 or 0.07% at 41050.3.
The Nifty 50 index was up 27.35 points or 0.23% at 12128.05.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 38.7 points or 0.29% at 13476.18.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 33.53 points or 0.71% at 4739.9.
On BSE,1185 shares were trading in green, 1119 were trading in red and 180 were unchanged.
