Utilties stocks slide

Utilties stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Utilities index decreasing 2.74 points or 0.15% at 1783.37 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Utilities index, GE T&D India Ltd (down 2.59%), Reliance Infrastructure Ltd (down 2.23%),BF Utilities Ltd (down 1.3%),PTC India Ltd (down 0.89%),Torrent Power Ltd (down 0.85%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (down 0.76%), Tata Power Company Ltd (down 0.7%), CESC Ltd (down 0.69%), Va Tech Wabag Ltd (down 0.56%), and NLC India Ltd (down 0.45%).

On the other hand, Rattanindia Power Ltd (up 4.95%), GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd (up 4.29%), and A2Z Infra Engineering Ltd (up 1.37%) turned up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 29.69 or 0.07% at 41050.3.

The Nifty 50 index was up 27.35 points or 0.23% at 12128.05.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 38.7 points or 0.29% at 13476.18.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 33.53 points or 0.71% at 4739.9.

On BSE,1185 shares were trading in green, 1119 were trading in red and 180 were unchanged.
