Auto stocks slide
Auto stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Auto index decreasing 229.39 points or 1.48% at 15280.08 at 13:50 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Auto index, Ashok Leyland Ltd (down 4.59%), Tata Motors Ltd (down 3.15%),Bosch Ltd (down 2.69%),Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (down 2.65%),Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (down 1.98%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Balkrishna Industries Ltd (down 1.97%), Exide Industries Ltd (down 1.42%), Eicher Motors Ltd (down 0.79%), Bajaj Auto Ltd (down 0.65%), and Hero MotoCorp Ltd (down 0.18%).
On the other hand, Apollo Tyres Ltd (up 1.11%), TVS Motor Company Ltd (up 1.07%), and Cummins India Ltd (up 1.01%) turned up.
At 13:50 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 125.61 or 0.34% at 36688.52.
The Nifty 50 index was up 29.05 points or 0.27% at 10826.95.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 6.69 points or 0.05% at 12363.13.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 5.6 points or 0.13% at 4179.75.
On BSE,1065 shares were trading in green, 1162 were trading in red and 151 were unchanged.
