Energy shares fall
Energy stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Energy index falling 41.68 points or 0.98% at 4213.13 at 13:50 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Energy index, Confidence Petroleum India Ltd (down 5.44%), GP Petroleums Ltd (down 4.12%),Gujarat Gas Ltd (down 2.9%),Deep Industries Ltd (down 2.42%),Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 2.08%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Adani Gas Ltd (down 1.98%), Reliance Industries Ltd (down 1.26%), Mangalore Refinery And Petrochemicals Ltd (down 1.1%), Petronet LNG Ltd (down 1.04%), and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.85%).
On the other hand, Jindal Drilling & Industries Ltd (up 10.92%), Aban Offshore Ltd (up 4.94%), and Oil India Ltd (up 1.78%) moved up.
At 13:50 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 125.61 or 0.34% at 36688.52.
The Nifty 50 index was up 29.05 points or 0.27% at 10826.95.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 6.69 points or 0.05% at 12363.13.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 5.6 points or 0.13% at 4179.75.
On BSE,1065 shares were trading in green, 1162 were trading in red and 151 were unchanged.
