Bharat Heavy Electricals jumped 7.39% to Rs 142.35 at 12:00 IST after report suggested that the company and Kawasaki will make rolling stock for the country's first bullet train from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. On the BSE, 29.63 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 3.15 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company surged 5% at Rs 167. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 9.23 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 26.01 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Thermax advanced 4.95% to Rs 943 after the company said that the Thermax Group has won a $43 million contract from a leading cement company in the UAE for a turnkey captive power plant. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 13 September 2017. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 18,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 49,000 shares in the past two weeks.
Religare Enterprises gained 4.93% at Rs 49. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 10.05 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 6.82 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
India Infoline rose 4.11% to Rs 722.05. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 41,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 26,000 shares in the past two weeks.
