Consumer Durables shares fall
Consumer Durables stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index falling 39.34 points or 0.16% at 25004.05 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 2.93%), Orient Electric Ltd (down 0.76%), Voltas Ltd (down 0.31%), and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (down 0.25%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, Blue Star Ltd (up 1.55%), V I P Industries Ltd (up 1.49%), and TTK Prestige Ltd (up 0.25%) moved up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 343 or 0.83% at 41506.76.
The Nifty 50 index was up 101.55 points or 0.84% at 12228.1.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 91.74 points or 0.68% at 13526.76.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 32.4 points or 0.69% at 4735.2.
On BSE,1422 shares were trading in green, 936 were trading in red and 164 were unchanged.
