Consumer Durables stocks surge

Consumer Durables stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index increasing 423.2 points or 1.59% at 26993.55 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (up 2.74%), Voltas Ltd (up 2.48%),Titan Company Ltd (up 1.95%),TTK Prestige Ltd (up 1.84%),Bajaj Electricals Ltd (up 1.61%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Whirlpool of India Ltd (up 1.47%), Blue Star Ltd (up 1.26%), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 0.45%), Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 0.34%), and V I P Industries Ltd (up 0.28%).

On the other hand, Symphony Ltd (down 0.15%), turned lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 42.87 or 0.11% at 39255.51.

The Nifty 50 index was up 11.85 points or 0.1% at 11673.7.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 60.5 points or 0.46% at 13187.33.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 21.12 points or 0.47% at 4524.72.

On BSE,968 shares were trading in green, 546 were trading in red and 106 were unchanged.
