Deepak Nitrite rose 2.76% to Rs 731 at 9:54 IST on BSE after the firm said it has commissioned balance capacities of optical brightening agent post successful completion of trial runs of production at its new greenfield plant at Dahej in Gujarat.
The announcement was made after market hours on Wednesday, 21 May 2014.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 111.96 points or 0.46% at 24,409.98.
On BSE, so far 1079 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 7623 shares in the past two weeks.
The stock hit a high of Rs 746 so far during the day, which is a record high for the counter. The stock hit a low of Rs 719.70 so far during the day.
