Dhunseri Tea slides after reverse turnaround in Q1

Dhunseri Tea & Industries lost 2.57% to Rs 280 at 14:21 IST on BSE after the company reported net loss of Rs 2.45 crore in Q1 June 2017 as compared with net profit of Rs 5.58 crore in Q1 June 2016.

The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 30 August 2017.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 7.82 points, or 0.02% to 31,654.28. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 81.16 points, or 0.51% to 15,948.90.

On BSE, 1,148 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1,675 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 286.40 and a low of Rs 278 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 348.95 on 11 April 2017. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 250.25 on 22 November 2016.

 

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 7 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Dhunseri Tea & Industries' total income fell 32.31% to Rs 22.88 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2016.

Dhunseri Tea & Industries is engaged in tea production.
