Financials shares tumble

Financials stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Finance index falling 60.5 points or 1.16% at 5136.08 at 13:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Satin Creditcare Network Ltd (down 10.97%), Centrum Capital Ltd (down 9.96%),Tourism Finance Corporation of India Ltd (down 7.88%),Manappuram Finance Ltd (down 7.72%),IDFC Ltd (down 7.24%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were AU Small Finance Bank Ltd (down 6.7%), Dhanlaxmi Bank Ltd (down 6.15%), Muthoot Finance Ltd (down 6.06%), Magma Fincorp Ltd (down 6.01%), and Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd (down 5.94%).

On the other hand, Yes Bank Ltd (up 57.95%), Capri Global Capital Ltd (up 7.48%), and Corporation Bank (up 7.43%) moved up.

 

At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 141.39 or 0.45% at 31531.46.

The Nifty 50 index was up 42.2 points or 0.46% at 9239.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 63.52 points or 0.57% at 11031.67.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 14.15 points or 0.36% at 3885.64.

On BSE,1048 shares were trading in green, 1253 were trading in red and 168 were unchanged.
