Financials stocks edge lower
Financials stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Finance index decreasing 33.16 points or 0.47% at 6999.02 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Dolat Investments Ltd (down 5.3%), Reliance Capital Ltd (down 4.97%),Reliance Home Finance Ltd (down 4.74%),Karnataka Bank Ltd (down 4.27%),Aditya Birla Money Ltd (down 3.63%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Weizmann Forex Ltd (down 2.68%), IndusInd Bank Ltd (down 2.6%), IDFC First Bank Ltd (down 2.56%), IDFC Ltd (down 2.53%), and Yes Bank Ltd (down 2.5%).
On the other hand, Indostar Capital Finance Ltd (up 6.98%), Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (up 3.23%), and JSW Holdings Ltd (up 2.75%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 53.84 or 0.13% at 41986.4.
The Nifty 50 index was up 3.65 points or 0.03% at 12359.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 68.37 points or 0.47% at 14715.91.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 30.15 points or 0.6% at 5045.28.
On BSE,1317 shares were trading in green, 1066 were trading in red and 168 were unchanged.
