FMCG stocks slide

FMCG stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index decreasing 43.51 points or 0.42% at 10306.27 at 13:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Mcleod Russel India Ltd (down 4.94%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd (down 4.9%),United Breweries Ltd (down 4.38%),Radico Khaitan Ltd (down 4.3%),Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (down 2.9%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Dabur India Ltd (down 2.31%), Britannia Industries Ltd (down 2.3%), L T Foods Ltd (down 2.27%), Godfrey Phillips India Ltd (down 2.22%), and Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd (down 2.19%).
On the other hand, Nath Bio-Genes (India) Ltd (up 4.99%), Som Distilleries & Breweries Ltd (up 4.94%), and Sanwaria Consumer Ltd (up 4.94%) turned up.
At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 265.33 or 0.84% at 31980.68.
The Nifty 50 index was up 67.45 points or 0.73% at 9360.95.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 28.41 points or 0.75% at 3804.11.
On BSE,1080 shares were trading in green, 1138 were trading in red and 186 were unchanged.
