Net inflow of Rs 99.73 crore on 30 August 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 99.73 crore from the secondary equity markets yesterday, 30 August 2017, as compared to net purchases of Rs 50.94 crore on 29 August 2017. On 30 August 2017, the Nifty advanced 88.35 points or 0.9% to settle at 9,884.40, its highest closing level since 28 August 2017.
The net inflow of Rs 99.73 crore on 30 August 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4222.48 crore and gross sales of Rs 4122.75 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 1.51 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 30 August 2017, which was a result of nil gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 1.51 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 15935.61 crore into the secondary equity markets in August 2017 so far (till 30 August 2017). They had bought stocks worth a net Rs 4199.62 crore from the secondary equity markets in July 2017.
