FPIs extend selling

Net outflow of Rs 1014.06 crore on 7 February 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1014.06 crore into the secondary equity markets on 7 February 2018, lower than net outflow of Rs 2317.74 crore on 6 February 2018. On 7 February 2018, the Sensex fell 113.23 points or 0.33% to settle at 34,082.71, its lowest closing level since 4 January 2018.
The net outflow of Rs 1014.06 crore from the secondary equity markets on 7 February 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5884.81 crore and gross sales of Rs 6898.87 crore.
There was an inflow of Rs 12.97 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 7 February 2018.
FPIs sold stocks worth a net Rs 2654.53 crore into the secondary equity markets in February 2018 so far till 7 February 2018. FPIs had bought stocks worth a net Rs 13635.44 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018.
