FPIs turn net buyers

Net inflow of Rs 613.96 crore on 9 March 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 613.96 crore from the secondary equity markets on 9 March 2018, compared with net outflow of Rs 401.79 crore on 8 March 2018. On 9 March 2018, the Sensex fell 44.43 points or 0.13% to settle at 33,307.14.
The net inflow of Rs 613.96 crore into the secondary equity markets on 9 March 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4596.43 crore and gross sales of Rs 3982.47 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 5.98 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 9 March 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2.31 crore and gross sales of Rs 8.29 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 1409.20 crore in March 2018 so far (till 9 March 2018). They offloaded stocks worth a net Rs 16809.04 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
