Healthcare shares fall
Healthcare stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index falling 184.92 points or 1.3% at 14020.81 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Vivimed Labs Ltd (down 5.48%), Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (down 4.99%),Unichem Laboratories Ltd (down 4.65%),Piramal Enterprises Ltd (down 3.51%),Biocon Ltd (down 3.45%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Ipca Laboratories Ltd (down 3.31%), Albert David Ltd (down 3.25%), Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd (down 3.21%), Aster DM Healthcare Ltd (down 3.19%), and Divis Laboratories Ltd (down 2.81%).
On the other hand, Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 4.99%), Medicamen Biotech Ltd (up 3.71%), and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 2.5%) moved up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 28.06 or 0.07% at 40391.29.
The Nifty 50 index was down 2.8 points or 0.02% at 11826.6.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 50.63 points or 0.35% at 14462.52.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 13.64 points or 0.27% at 4993.25.
On BSE,919 shares were trading in green, 1327 were trading in red and 161 were unchanged.
