Healthcare stocks edge higher

Healthcare stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 34.39 points or 0.26% at 13410.51 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Medicamen Biotech Ltd (up 6.09%), Indoco Remedies Ltd (up 4.41%),Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 4.24%),Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (up 3.85%),Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 3.54%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Marksans Pharma Ltd (up 2.75%), Unichem Laboratories Ltd (up 2.67%), Vimta Labs Ltd (up 2.51%), Aster DM Healthcare Ltd (up 2.3%), and Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd (up 2.29%).

On the other hand, Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd (down 1.6%), Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd (down 1.56%), and Lupin Ltd (down 0.68%) turned lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 2.55 or 0.01% at 41007.16.

The Nifty 50 index was down 8.85 points or 0.07% at 12077.85.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 41.03 points or 0.31% at 13373.69.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 5.13 points or 0.11% at 4712.15.

On BSE,812 shares were trading in green, 594 were trading in red and 91 were unchanged.
