Healthcare shares rise
Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 149.72 points or 1.11% at 13682.72 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Neuland Laboratories Ltd (up 7.12%), Aarti Drugs Ltd (up 3.1%),Medicamen Biotech Ltd (up 3.06%),Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd (up 2.54%),Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd (up 2.31%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Nectar Lifescience Ltd (up 2.24%), Lupin Ltd (up 2.14%), Laurus Labs Ltd (up 2.03%), Panacea Biotec Ltd (up 1.99%), and Divis Laboratories Ltd (up 1.97%).
On the other hand, Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (down 1.73%), Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (down 1.49%), and Shalby Ltd (down 1.1%) moved lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 69.86 or 0.17% at 41522.21.
The Nifty 50 index was up 22.35 points or 0.18% at 12238.25.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 55.94 points or 0.4% at 14145.06.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 9.58 points or 0.2% at 4860.04.
On BSE,945 shares were trading in green, 508 were trading in red and 76 were unchanged.
