Healthcare shares rise

Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 67.16 points or 0.48% at 13989.99 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Indoco Remedies Ltd (up 5%), Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (up 4.23%),Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 3.75%),Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (up 3.28%),Albert David Ltd (up 2.14%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Neuland Laboratories Ltd (up 2.04%), Astrazeneca Pharma India Ltd (up 1.83%), Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd (up 1.77%), IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 1.67%), and FDC Ltd (up 1.55%).

On the other hand, Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd (down 2.53%), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 1.95%), and Unichem Laboratories Ltd (down 1.88%) moved lower.

 

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 7.74 or 0.02% at 38615.96.

The Nifty 50 index was up 1.95 points or 0.02% at 11305.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 56.61 points or 0.41% at 13717.02.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 28.03 points or 0.59% at 4757.69.

On BSE,564 shares were trading in green, 889 were trading in red and 66 were unchanged.
