India's fuel product sales rises 4.8% to 13.9 million tonnes in November 2014

Fuel product rises 3.8% to 108.05 mt in April-November FY2015
India's fuel product consumption/sales increased 4.8% to 13.9 mt in November 2014 over a year ago. An improvement in the consumption of fuel products was mainly driven by the 3% increase in diesel sales to 6 mt, while the sales of petcoke jumped 53.7% to 1.35 mt and LPG 145% to 1.58 mt. Further, the consumption of petrol improved 3.6% to 1.51 mt, kerosene 0.7% to 0.6 mt, fuel oil 2.2% to 0.49 mt, and lubes 19.6% to 0.24 mt. On the other hand, the consumption of naphtha dipped 24.4% to 0.73 mt, petrol ATF 2.8% to 0.46 mt and bitumen 2.8% to 0.4 mt in November 2014 over a year ago. Sales of light diesel oil declined 9.6% to 0.02 mt, while that of other products also dipped 10.3% to 0.51 mt. Consumption/sales of fuel product increased 3.8% to 108.05 mt in April-November FY2015 compared with the 1.6% growth in the corresponding previous-year period. Sales of petrol increased 9.5%, pet coke 21.9%, and LPG 10.6%. Consumption of diesel also moved up 1% and that of lubes 6.9%, ATF 2.4% and bitumen 4.7%.
