Fuel products sales up 2.5% to 157.40 mt in April-December 2018
India's fuel product consumption or sales improved 3.2% to 18.51 million tonnes (mt) in December 2018 over a year ago. Diesel sales increased 3.5% to 7.37 mt, petrol 10.0% to 2.40 mt, naphtha 10.8% to 1.23 mt and LPG 5.6% to 2.16 mt. The consumption of other products also moved up 16.3% to 0.80 mt, ATF 9.4% to 0.72 mt, fuel oil 6.4% to 0.58 mt and bitumen 2.0% to 0.64 mt. However, the consumption of lubes/greases declined 3.0% to 0.33 mt, light diesel oil (LDO) 17.0% to 0.05 mt, kerosene 14.0% to 0.28 mt and petcoke 12.8% to 1.94 mt in December 2018.Consumption or sales of fuel products increased 2.5% to 157.40 mt in April-December 2018 over April-December 2017. Sales of diesel increased 2.6% to 62.13 mt, other products 25.3% to 7.46 mt, petrol 7.6% to 21.08 mt, naphtha 11.8% to 10.49 mt and LPG 5.0% to 18.12 mt. Consumption of ATF moved up 10.3% to 6.20 mt, bitumen 12.8% to 4.56 mt, lubes/greases 7.4% to 2.91 mt and LDO 15.1% to 0.43 mt. However, the consumption of fuel oil declined 4.2% to 4.87 mt, kerosene 10.4% to 2.63 mt and petcoke 17.6% to 16.53 mt in April-December 2018.
