Industrials shares edge higher

Industrials stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Industrials index rising 34.03 points or 1.15% at 2992.35 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Industrials index, MSTC Ltd (up 6.06%), Nelcast Ltd (up 5.01%),Ramky Infrastructure Ltd (up 4.97%),Walchandnagar Industries Ltd (up 4.82%),Simplex Infrastructures Ltd (up 4.7%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Tata Motors-DVR (up 3.77%), Tata Motors Ltd (up 3.74%), Jaypee Infratech Ltd (up 3.67%), Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (up 3.59%), and H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd (up 3.58%).

On the other hand, Gayatri Projects Ltd (down 4.96%), Mercator Ltd (down 4.12%), and Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd-DVR (down 3.76%) moved lower.

 

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 111.38 or 0.27% at 40900.76.

The Nifty 50 index was up 35.05 points or 0.29% at 12014.7.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 100.71 points or 0.69% at 14646.22.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 45.88 points or 0.91% at 5074.42.

On BSE,1051 shares were trading in green, 433 were trading in red and 61 were unchanged.
