Industrials shares rise

Industrials stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Industrials index rising 35.77 points or 1.25% at 2887.78 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Industrials index, Jaypee Infratech Ltd (up 9.4%), Titagarh Wagons Ltd (up 9.02%),Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (up 8.78%),BGR Energy Systems Ltd (up 5.57%),Sakuma Exports Ltd (up 5.46%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Tata Motors-DVR (up 4.9%), Tata Motors Ltd (up 4.79%), Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd (up 4.65%), Nila Infrastructures Ltd (up 4.41%), and CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd (up 4.32%).

On the other hand, Reliance Naval & Engineering Ltd (down 4.96%), Sintex Plastics Technology Ltd (down 4.62%), and Navkar Corporation Ltd (down 2.24%) moved lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 270.16 or 0.67% at 40851.87.

The Nifty 50 index was up 67 points or 0.56% at 12038.8.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 83.28 points or 0.63% at 13307.26.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 26.54 points or 0.57% at 4691.49.

On BSE,1047 shares were trading in green, 369 were trading in red and 62 were unchanged.
