Information Technology shares fall

Information Technology stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 28.5 points or 0.18% at 15665.63 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, 3i Infotech Ltd (down 6.99%), Mindtree Ltd (down 2.11%),Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 1.67%),Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 1.49%),Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (down 1.24%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were HCL Technologies Ltd (down 0.96%), Wipro Ltd (down 0.37%), Mphasis Ltd (down 0.32%), NIIT Technologies Ltd (down 0.03%), and Tech Mahindra Ltd (down 0.01%).

On the other hand, Aptech Ltd (up 11.8%), NIIT Ltd (up 6.81%), and TVS Electronics Ltd (up 4.96%) moved up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 566.83 or 1.39% at 41384.57.

The Nifty 50 index was up 168.8 points or 1.4% at 12194.15.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 210.77 points or 1.52% at 14084.74.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 65.1 points or 1.36% at 4848.6.

On BSE,1745 shares were trading in green, 668 were trading in red and 195 were unchanged.
