Information Technology shares gain

Information Technology stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 174.94 points or 1.15% at 15358.36 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 8.63%), NIIT Technologies Ltd (up 4.86%),Ramco Systems Ltd (up 4.71%),NIIT Ltd (up 3.72%),Sasken Technologies Ltd (up 3.15%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Trigyn Technologies Ltd (up 2.72%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd (up 2.53%), AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (up 2.09%), TVS Electronics Ltd (up 2.02%), and Tata Elxsi Ltd (up 1.91%).

On the other hand, Mastek Ltd (down 1.46%), 3i Infotech Ltd (down 0.96%), and L&T Technology Services Ltd (down 0.27%) moved lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 231.79 or 0.57% at 41170.51.

The Nifty 50 index was up 55.85 points or 0.46% at 12109.8.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 59.8 points or 0.45% at 13365.59.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 15.16 points or 0.32% at 4702.63.

On BSE,934 shares were trading in green, 429 were trading in red and 75 were unchanged.
