Information Technology shares spurt

Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 247.47 points or 1.55% at 16172.58 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (up 3.95%), Cyient Ltd (up 3.42%),Ramco Systems Ltd (up 2.42%),Intellect Design Arena Ltd (up 2.31%),Persistent Systems Ltd (up 2.29%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Aptech Ltd (up 2.17%), Mindtree Ltd (up 2.05%), Quick Heal Technologies Ltd (up 1.96%), Infosys Ltd (up 1.92%), and CESC Ventures Ltd (up 1.82%).

On the other hand, Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (down 5.55%), AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (down 1.77%), and HCL Infosystems Ltd (down 1.14%) moved lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 116.25 or 0.28% at 41440.06.

The Nifty 50 index was up 22.95 points or 0.19% at 12192.8.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 71.81 points or 0.49% at 14723.57.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 12.89 points or 0.26% at 5027.71.

On BSE,948 shares were trading in green, 484 were trading in red and 72 were unchanged.
