Information Technology stocks rise
Information Technology stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 670.51 points or 5.69% at 12451.39 at 09:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, HCL Technologies Ltd (up 8.73%), Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (up 6.55%),Infosys Ltd (up 6.53%),63 Moons Technologies Ltd (up 5.53%),Wipro Ltd (up 5.17%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (up 5.09%), Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 5.02%), Mastek Ltd (up 5%), Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 4.99%), and Intellect Design Arena Ltd (up 4.98%).
On the other hand, eClerx Services Ltd (down 0.07%), turned lower.
At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 1306.38 or 4.73% at 28897.33.
The Nifty 50 index was up 362.05 points or 4.48% at 8445.85.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 258.44 points or 2.75% at 9667.48.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 98.16 points or 2.96% at 3417.25.
On BSE,1272 shares were trading in green, 241 were trading in red and 75 were unchanged.
