Oil and Gas stocks gain
Oil and Gas stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index increasing 96.25 points or 0.66% at 14695.67 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (up 1.6%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (up 1.47%),Indraprastha Gas Ltd (up 1.02%),Castrol India Ltd (up 0.84%),Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 0.81%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were GAIL (India) Ltd (up 0.66%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (up 0.6%), Petronet LNG Ltd (up 0.34%), Reliance Industries Ltd (up 0.32%), and Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (up 0.21%).
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 51.99 or 0.13% at 41438.39.
The Nifty 50 index was up 36.3 points or 0.3% at 12216.65.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 46.64 points or 0.32% at 14818.96.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 21.81 points or 0.43% at 5085.9.
On BSE,925 shares were trading in green, 450 were trading in red and 71 were unchanged.
