Quick Wrap: Nifty FMCG Index gains 1.71%

Nifty FMCG index closed up 1.71% at 29651.6 today. The index has gained 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dabur India Ltd added 3.25%, ITC Ltd rose 2.87% and Marico Ltd jumped 1.72%. The Nifty FMCG index has soared 15.00% over last one year compared to the 4.67% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index gained 1.71% and Nifty Metal index gained 1.21% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.76% to close at 10763.4 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.90% to close at 35774.88 today.
