Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index declines 2.92%

Nifty Media index ended down 2.92% at 1957.8 today. The index is down 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd slipped 5.12%, Eros International Media Ltd dropped 4.76% and Jagran Prakashan Ltd fell 4.66%. The Nifty Media index is down 31.00% over last one year compared to the 2.10% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index added 2.42% and Nifty PSU Bank index increased 1.73% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.29% to close at 11118 while the SENSEX added 0.22% to close at 37481.12 today.
