Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index falls 1.44%

Nifty Media index ended down 1.44% at 1839 today. The index has gained 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Media Corporation Ltd added 4.42%, Saregama India Ltd dropped 3.84% and Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd slipped 3.57%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 25.00% over last one year compared to the 13.24% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index has dropped 1.10% and Nifty Metal index has slid 0.95% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.20% to close at 11917.2 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.13% to close at 40248.23 today.
