Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index gains 2.03%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed up 2.03% at 3002.3 today. The index has gained 12.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bank of India added 4.57%, Oriental Bank of Commerce jumped 4.38% and Canara Bank rose 3.15%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 26.00% over last one year compared to the 4.58% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index has dropped 1.56% and Nifty Energy index increased 1.29% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.62% to close at 10682.2 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.56% to close at 35457.16 today.
