Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index records a surge of 1.61%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended up 1.61% at 3285.95 today. The index has added 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bank of India rose 4.10%, Oriental Bank of Commerce added 2.92% and Union Bank of India gained 2.75%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has increased 0.00% over last one year compared to the 19.35% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index increased 1.18% and Nifty Energy index has dropped 1.12% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.40% to close at 11691.9 while the SENSEX has slid 0.45% to close at 38722.93 today.
