Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index registers a drop of 3.41%, NIFTY Crashes 1.24%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 3.41% at 2685.4 today. The index has lost 12.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Indian Bank fell 7.19%, Canara Bank shed 6.74% and Union Bank of India slipped 5.91%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has decreased 12.00% over last one year compared to the 2.14% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index has slid 2.95% and Nifty Realty index has dropped 2.90% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 1.24% to close at 10453.05 while the SENSEX has declined 1.09% to close at 34779.58 today.
